Associate Media Planner

We are looking for an Associate Media Planner to join our growing team!

Independently owned and operated, our success is rooted in our creative process, entrepreneurial spirit, and above all, our love for the Asian American communities we work in. Our client roster boasts such blue-chip accounts as California Tobacco Control Program, Bank of America, Charter Communications, and the Centers for Disease Control.

As an Associate Media Planner, your primary responsibilities will be supporting theday-to-day logistics in the planning, implementing, maintaining, and reporting of media campaigns. Specifically, you will:

Plan Offline & Online Media Campaign

1. Participate in team brainstorming to kick off plan and consideration set development

2. Provide critical thinking and analysis to draw conclusions and identify actionable implications

3. Create media-specific documents such as RFPs, media plans, and other related documents

4. Lead in RFP review of partners proposals, develop analyses and drive negotiations

5. Monitor trends, tools, opportunities, and applications in offline & online media environments, and appropriately apply that knowledge

Execute Media Campaign

1. Generate insertion orders to reserve advertising space

2. Traffic planned assets such as creative and tracking tags

3. Set up 3rd party tracker/attribution system

4. Create pre-buy documents to indicate buying tactics

5. Create post-launch campaign information such as screenshots, links, and placement information to demonstrate proof of placement

6. Manage day-to-day communication with key partners: Vendors, Partner Agencies and Clients

Report and Optimize Campaign

1. Build post-campaign performance decks

2. Lead optimization execution to deliver the desired campaign results


1. Work on PR projects with media vendors

2. Work with the finance department on the media billing


• Bachelor’s Degree plus 1 year of digital media experience or Master’s Degree recent graduate

• Demonstrate affinity and passion for multicultural markets, especially the Asian American segment

• Knowledge of media tools and procedures (both media and inter-department)

• Experience with a third party ad server (DCM preferred)

• Proactive self-starter with proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment

• Organized, and detail-oriented with strong attention to follow-through

• Strong communication, writing, and analytical thinking skills

• Excellent English communication skills. This position requires regular presentations to stakeholders

• Knowledge of an Asian language (Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Hindi, etc.) is preferred for the position

• Authorized to work in the US. Ideally H1B+, but at least 2 years valid OPT can be considered as well
