Job Description
As a Senior Account Executive/Account Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day management of key client accounts while remaining actively involved in campaign planning and execution. This is a hands-on role for an experienced agency professional who can build trusted client relationships, coordinate effectively across disciplines, and independently keep multiple projects moving forward.
Key Responsibilities
Client and Account Management
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, taking ownership of account management, building trusted relationships, and ensuring client needs are understood and commitments are met.
- Develop a strong understanding of each client’s business, brand, audiences, objectives, and competitive landscape.
- Translate client objectives and feedback into clear, actionable direction for creative, media, strategy, and other internal teams.
- Contribute to the development of campaign strategies and provide thoughtful recommendations that address client objectives and audience needs.
Project Management
- Manage integrated campaigns from initial brief and planning through creative development, media execution, launch, reporting, and final delivery.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, scopes, status reports, client feedback, and approval processes.
- Lead client meetings and status calls, prepare presentations and recaps, and maintain clear communication regarding deliverables, timelines, budgets, approvals, and next steps.
- Brief internal teams on campaign objectives, requirements, and deliverables, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and set up for success.
- Coordinate effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and partner agencies to keep work aligned, accurate, and on schedule.
- Anticipate client needs, identify potential challenges, and proactively recommend practical solutions.
- Review briefs, presentations, creative assets, and other client-facing materials for accuracy, quality, and alignment with the approved strategy.
- Monitor account budgets, project hours, and changes in scope in partnership with agency leadership.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships and grow existing accounts.
- Contribute to agency marketing initiatives, new business pitches, and other agency-wide projects as needed.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of account management experience at an advertising, marketing, or integrated communications agency.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience managing integrated campaigns across multiple channels, such as digital, social, video, broadcast, print, out-of-home, experiential, and web. Understanding of creative asset development and production process across these channels.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Monday.com.
- Strong client relationship and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, budgets, timelines, and stakeholders.
- Proactive, with a strong work ethic: Self-starter who takes ownership, anticipates needs, and follows through with limited oversight.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy and follow-through.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the confidence to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Strong critical-thinking and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and working styles.
- Genuine interest in marketing and the multicultural and diverse American consumer and media landscape.
- Second language fluency is preferred.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial small-agency environment.
Work Model & Benefits
- Salary range: $69,000 – $85,000/year
